The opening figure comes back again and again. Things finally quiet down for the first solo (alto sneaks into a free and open solo). The next solo is on tenor saxophone or trumpet. The rest of the band plays sharp rhythmic figures behind each solo. After the entire ensemble plays a "Latin" section the chart returns to the hard-rock feel and moves slowly toward a quiet and reflective ending with echoes of the whole piece.
