チャックがシーブリーズ・ジャズからリリースしたジャズ・サージとの共演CD「Madcap」の中でも、この美しく、説得力のあるコンサート用の曲は、最も重要なものの1つである。コラール的なセッティングから始まり、アフロ/ケイジャンの12/8グルーヴ、ミディアムスウィング、ハーフタイムファンクへと変化し、最後は荘厳な雰囲気の中で締めくくられる。ソロはテナー、ギター（CDではtrpt）が担当する。しかし、トロンボーン（プランジャー付き）とギター（今回はソリッドボディ）は、終盤に短く大げさなソロでスポットライトを浴びる機会がある。このように、成熟したバンドであっても、その演奏は難しいが、聴き手はそのようなことはなく、ユニークな色彩、魅惑的なグルーヴ、調性のあるメロディに終始魅了される。

This beautiful and compeling concert offering is one of the true high points from Chuck's "Madcap" CD w/the Jazz Surge on Sea Breeze Jazz. From it's initial chorale-like setting, the wistful, folksy main theme gives way to a hypnotic afro/cajun 12/8 groove; a solid, medium swing feel; and a sinister half-time funk segment before returning in triumphant and majestic fashion at the end. Extended solos are given to the tenor and guitar (trpt on the CD). But trombone (with plunger) and guitar (this time on solid body) have an opportunity to steal the spotlight with their short, over-the-top solos toward the end. While a challenge for even the mature band to play; the listener is not similarly stretched - engaged throughout by the unique colors, captivating grooves, and tuneful melodies.
